The Interfaith Group for Morally Responsible Investment, Interpal and Hamas

The Interfaith Group for Morally Responsible Investment (IMRI) is a coalition which pressures the Church of England’s Ethical Investment Advisory Group to withdraw its funds from certain companies which work with Israel in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Last month, I brought attention to IMRI’s plans to boycott Veolia for running train services linking West and East Jerusalem.

The Interfaith Group for Morally Responsible Investment includes Amos Trust, Jews for Justice for Palestinians, War on Want, Architects & Planners for Justice in Palestine, European Jews for a Just Peace, ICAHD UK, Friends of Sabeel UK and Interpal.

Over at Harry’s Place Habibi has more on Majidi Akeel – Interpal’s man from Hamas.

Given these worrying developments, surely IMRI has its own moral responsibility to distance itself from Interpal?
