some grizzly number crunching for Jeff Halper

This week, Jeff Halper has been criticizing the Jewish community in Australia for its support of Israel. He’s also upset at ‘the organized Jewish community’ in the UK for thinking ill of his mate Stephen Sizer:

Why Stephen is attacked and demonized by the organized Jewish community is an absolute mystery to me. After all, Christian Zionism is supremely anti-Semitic: at the End of Days those Jews who do not accept Jesus die.

By Halper’s logic, the opposition to Christian Zionism from Hamas would also absolve them of any charges of antisemitism. They too must be anti-racists!

Except, of course, Hamas’ version of the apocalypse doesn’t leave any Jews alive in Israel:

“The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews.” (related by al-Bukhari and Muslim).

But when will these events take place? 2022 perhaps?

Stepen Sizer believes that ALL Jews should be converted to Christianity or they will end up in Hell. If he achieved his goal, there wouldn’t be a Jew left on the planet. I call it an attempt at spiritual genocide. I call that antisemitism. One of his major problems of “Christian Zionism” is that they don’t proselytize enough.

Zionism is the belief that Jews should have a state where they can control their destiny. I have a problem with using the term Christian Zionism. It could mean a Christian who supports the existence of a Jewish state. I had an e-mail conversation with an American Christian who has an anti-Christian Zionism site. He did not want say that Jews had a right to a state in any way.

Oops, I meant to say that one of Stephen Sizer’s complaints about Christian Zionism is that they don’t proselytize enough.
